The morning of September 11, 2025, feels like fate. A friend called me with a vivid dream about a house with double doors, a pool, a party, and me in a blue dress introducing a man to everyone — a house that, coincidentally, I was building and Sheetal had no clue. In the dream I mentioned on a microphone while Rod played guitar, "He doesn't like Indian food, but that was ok and we loved him anyways." That same day, Rod messaged to say he was on a flight home and asked if I’d like to meet for dinner. When he joked on the plane, "Someone is eating curry & it stinks!", I froze and called my friend back to hear the dream again — I’d actually had a blue dress hanging on my closet door set out for that night. We met for dinner that evening, then another, and within a week golf, great food, and long conversations drew us close. Rod’s kindness, his smile, and the way he listens made me feel seen. From those first evenings we discovered similar gifts and a deep connection that made us inseparable. We are overjoyed to have found each other and excited to begin our life together. We’ll celebrate our wedding on July 4, 2026, in St Andrews — with the ceremony at St Andrews West Sands Beach and Guthrie Church as our rainy-day venue — and we can’t wait to mark the start of our next adventure beginning with a bucket-list trip to Scotland.
